Long-Term Opportunities

Did you know?

Over 14,000 families in the Peel Region are on a waiting list for affordable housing.

ReStore

Image

ReStores sell new and gently used renovation materials and supplies.

Everything sold in the ReStores has been donated by companies or individuals who want to help Habitat for Humanity meet its goal of eliminating poverty housing. That is how Restores are able to sell everything for at least 50% off retail and with the profits generated pay for an affiliate's overhead costs.

Since Mississauga is a relatively new Habitat affiliate and we have not yet opened a ReStore we unfortunately we do not have the facilities to take such donations. Our plan is to open a Restore in 2010.

In the meantime if you are considering recycling items that could be of value to others, we would encourage you to contact one of the ReStores in our vicinity to see if they are accepting donations like yours.
