Habitat for Humanity Mississauga (HFHM) was accredited as an affiliate in 2005 and built its first house in 2009.
As with all the affiliates, while subscribing to the universal belief that every family should have a simple, decent home, it nevertheless operates independently in raising funds to address affordable housing needs in Mississauga.
In the Fall of 2013, we were able to close on a townhome in the Erin Mills neigbourhood that will be renovated for our Habitat partner family, a single mother Ayan and her four children. We are currently getting ready to start the renovations.
In the meantime, we continue building partnerships, growing our volunteer base and expanding our fundraising efforts to start the next home project as soon as possible.
